Land five consecutive accurate casts without a miss and your Lure Meter fills to the brim. When it glows orange, click or tap the meter itself to unleash the Lucky Lure — a magical lure that sweeps across all four fish lanes automatically for three full seconds, scooping every fish in sight and adding their points to your total. Timing your Lucky Lure activation when the screen is packed with high-value fish is the biggest skill decision in the game. Watch for the red Tackle Box floating across the surface between waves. If your cast arc passes over it and you release on time, you collect it — and your next catch is worth double points. The blue Camp Cooler is even rarer and awards a flat 75-point bonus the moment you reel it in. Both bonuses reset your cast timing window briefly, so stay alert. Building a combo streak of three or more catches in a row without missing activates a multiplier that climbs up to 4x your base points. Keep that streak alive through duck crossings and hazards to maximize your final score before the 90-second timer runs out.
Not everything in the lake is worth catching. Wild Ducks and Rubber Ducks cruise across the surface and block entire cast lanes for about two seconds. If your arc releases while a duck occupies the target zone, you waste a cast — no fish is hooked and no points are awarded, though you do not lose a life. Plan your timing around their crossing rhythm. The Old Boot is the true danger: it lurks in the lower fish lanes, masquerading as a deep catch. Hooking a Boot subtracts 25 points from your score immediately. Learn to recognise its silhouette early — it has a distinctive brown rectangular shape compared to the curved outline of a bass. The game progresses through eight levels, each wave adding more fish, faster arc sweeps, and narrower target zones. Every second level features a Bonus Wave where fish density doubles and Lucky Lure charges in just three casts.
